The brief called for a home that could host thirty for a fundraiser on Friday and feel like a library on Sunday. We resolved that tension through layered acoustics — fabric-backed panels concealed in the built-ins, bronze thresholds that mark transitions without doors, and a kitchen that disappears behind fluted oak when not in use.
Every surface was specified for how it catches light at dusk, when the apartment turns amber.
